I want to give my fellow writers a heads up that Flash Fiction Online and Write City Magazine are both open for submissions!
Here are their guidelines. However, this is just an overview. It is always wise to get your information directly from the publication’s websites and read what they have published in the past.

Flash Fiction Online
As of the beginning of this month Flash Fiction Online opened its doors to reprints!
DESCRIPTION: We are looking for complete 500- to 1000-word stories with crisp prose, well-developed characters, compelling plots, and satisfying resolutions. We want stories that engage our minds and emotions

WORD LIMIT: 500 – 1000 words (because, you know, it’s flash fiction)
SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS: No
READING PERIOD: Original stories are open for submission from the 1st to 21st of each month

Write City Magazine

Please read their submissions page thoroughly to make sure your piece fits their requirements, including a 150-word bio and a photograph.
PROSE WORD LIMIT: 1,800 words.
POETRY LIMIT: 3 Poems at a time.
PAY RATE: Fiction – $50/piece for CWA members, $25/piece for nonmembers.
Poetry – $35/pieces for CWA members, $10/piece for nonmembers.
