3 Recently Published Speculative Stories You Should Check Out (October 2022)

I’ve been reading a lot of fantastic speculative stories recently. Here are three short stories you should definitely look into.

RIVER’S BEND by James Sallis. Published in Clarkesworld Magazine. This story is told in the form of correspondences between an author and a particularly unique fan.
MAKE A MEMORY WITH ME by Xan van Rooyen. Published in Galaxy’s Edge Magazine. This is a very short but particularly moving tale about the results of selling one’s memories to make ends meet.
UP STICKS by Liam Hogan. Published in Cosmic Roots and Eldritch Shores. This is another very short story that follows a house searching for it’s missing person. It’s whimsical and full of imagination.
