1 Year Update: New Kickstarter Campaign

Hey!

So I don’t post a ton here anymore. In fact it’s almost been a year. The last time I posted here I was announcing a new short comic in an anthology being distributed through Kickstarter. Well, that Kickstarter campaign was fully funded and the anthology was sent out into the world. Now I have a much bigger announcement:

I HAVE WRITTEN A FULL-LENGTH COMIC BOOK!

And not only that, comic book author Scott Snyder really likes it!

The Secret Lives of Demon Hunters is a 24-page one-shot horror comic illustrated by Jack Van Thomme.

“On the surface, Ashley and Jordie are just like any other married couple. They have their ups and downs, go on date nights, and often keep secrets from each other. However, after the sun sets, they gather their taser guns and holy water and spend their evenings hunting demons.

“During a seemingly routine gig, Ashley realizes that the entity they are facing has connections with her traumatic childhood. Jordie, meanwhile, finds himself grappling with his growing disillusionment of their partnership. Before the night is over they must each confront the nature of true evil and decide whether to abandon the codes they have lived by as a couple.”

This comic has been a long time coming with a lot of bumps along the road. Just one of these bumps was when I thought we were almost done only to discover that the artist I hired was using AI. I had to cancel the comic and start over again with another artist, basically from scratch. That new artist is Jack Van Thomme who did an excellent job. To see more of his fantastic artwork check out the Kickstarter pre-launch page. The actual campaign will be going live June 16, 2026. Please tell anyone you know who might be interested.

This has been a real labor of love.
